New British global warming apocalypse movie, “ICE”

Check out the trailer for this new British version of “The Day After Tomorrow” call “ICE”. I don’t think most people realize that global warming is actually going to cause an ice age and not just give us intense heat. It has to do with the ocean currents being disrupted by the melting fresh water ice that will be coming from the ice caps.
Yeah, that’s right, I took an oceanography class in college. Got an “A” too. Booyah!

Old lady drives on wrong side of I-95

This is why everyone should have to re-take a driving test at 75 years old. This old lady caused three accidents on I-95 in Philadelphia while she was driving on the wrong side of the road. The best part of the story is that they can’t find her or her car anywhere. Amazing.

Suspicious packages found at Philly and Newark airports

Officials are reportedly investigating suspicious packages that were found at Philadelphia International Airport and Newark International Airport.
This story literally just hit the wire (It’s 11:08 am in the East), so I will follow up with more details when they come. Fingers crossed.
UPDATE: 11:49am – MSNBC is reporting that there were suspicious looking toner cartridge packages aboard two UPS cargo planes, that appeared to have been modified. A Philadelphia Fire Department spokesman said that there is, “a possible radiological incident.” NYC Police also reported that a UPS truck is being investigated in Queens. MSNBC article HERE.
UPDATE: 12:29pm – MSNBC has live coverage on right now. It sounds like they are clearing a lot of the planes, saying nothing was in them, and there was never a truck in Queens. SF Giants grab huge 2-0 lead on Texas

The San Francisco Giants won again last night, convincingly, 9-0 over the Texas Rangers. They now have a two games to none lead in the World Series and our playing some great baseball. Now, I didn’t get to watch any of the game because I sadly have Cablevision, but from what I read pitcher Matt Cain had an awesome game. He went 7 and 2/3rds and gave up just 4 hits.
Personally, I think this series is over. The Rangers might win one game, but that’s about it.

So some random guy wrote to Gawker claiming that a few Halloween’s ago he slept with Christine O’Donnell. But wait, here is the good part. HE DIDN’T FUCK HER! Apparently the “born again virgin” is really keeping her legs closed. The best part of this story is that Christine ended up dating his roommate for a year, and he didn’t fuck her either!! Sad, just plain sad.
Oh yeah I almost forgot. Fuck you crazy tea party witch lady! Fuck you!

UFC and WEC merge

The UFC announced a merger today with competitor WEC. Ultimate Fighting Championship president Dana White told the media that all of the WEC’s talent and employees will be kept on staff at UFC. That is a pretty amazing thing for Dana White to do in today’s economy. There is sure to be a lot of overlapping of jobs after the merger, and for Dana not to lay anyone off is something he should be praised for.

20 yr old Notre Dame student dies filming football practice

20 year old Notre Dame student Declan Sullivan, died yesterday when the scissor lift he was on fell. Sullivan, a student assistant for the Notre Dame football team, was filming practice when wind gusts of up to 50mph buffered the lift, eventually tipping it over. The scissor lift should never have been raised for filming yesterday, the first warning on the lift is that it should not be used in high winds. Sullivan himself knew how dangerous being in the lift yesterday was. Prior to his death he tweeted, “Gusts of wind up to 60mph. Well today should be fun at work… I guess I’ve live long enoug :-/”. This is an absolute tragedy that should never have happened.

Mariah Carey Pregnant

Well Mariah Carey announced today that she is indeed pregnant with Nick Cannon’s baby. I can’t wait to see all the pregnant shots the paparazzi get, they are going to love it. Big pay day for those guys. I’m guessing she gets $5 Million for the first baby pictures and interview.
Oh, and the marriage will be done in a year.
